History
Forty years ago, our family begins dealing in the fruit trade when the
father, Panagiotis Karatzis, opens a fruit shop in Piraeus at the age of 19.
Having as a trademark our unparalleled high quality, politeness, and
prompt service, we managed to win the preference of the residents in the
area and build a reliable brand that evokes trust.
Our next step was to expand to wholesale, i.e the supply of
provisions to restaurants, hotels, ships, clinics and other catering service
businesses and successfully undertake to serve a big part of the Piraeus
market.
Due to our very close proximity to the Zeas Mooring, many members
of crews from Greek and foreign yachts bought their provisions from us
throughout the years. This was how we first came into contact with the
philosophy of yacht provisioning.
The challenges of yacht provisioning is what has intrigued the second
generation, Giorgos Karatzis, who, now running through the fourth year of
Fruit Logistics, has reached a high level of expertise in the field. Having
supplied goods to yachts from 20 to 130 meters, we know all the range of
available products extremely well and our catalogue now numbers more
than 500 material codes, including edible flowers, microherbs, sprouts, wild
mushrooms and truffles, aromatics, exotic fruits, vegetables and roots from
all over the planet.
Since 2021 our company has been constantly growing and
modernizing its infrastructure in order to continue to be in a position to
provide our ever-increasing customers with products and services of the
highest quality. The company has expanded its premises by the acquisition
and renovation of the adjacent shop and by the purchase of three state-of-
the art refrigerator trucks which can deliver the orders to the customers on
quaranteed freshness.
